Cheshire Beat Winter 2020 – Now Available

28 Nov, 2020

The winter edition of Cheshire Beat, your Federation magazine, is available now.

In this edition, Cheshire Police Federation chair Jamie Thompson says he is ‘extremely proud’ of officers’ efforts during the pandemic and, despite having to constantly adapt policing, deal with increased officer assaults and face coronavirus being weaponised, the Force ‘simply got on with the job’.

There is also the story of Sergeant Cameron Mair and PC Jarrad Sainsbury being nominated for the Police Bravery Awards after rescuing a teenager with autism from a busy railway line and Dave Howard, Cheshire Police Federation’s conduct and performance lead, talks about the merits of body-worn video..

The magazine includes coverage of National Police Memorial Day with HRH The Prince of Wales, the Prime Minister and the Home Secretary all paying tribute to fallen officers in this year’s virtual service.

In addition, Dan Lever, Cheshire Police Federation’s equality and welfare lead, and Chief Constable Darren Martland both talk about the importance of wellbeing and psychological support.

Printed copies of the magazine will be circulated around the Force and you can read it online here.
